Debut album from Wild Belle // Isles
It’s been several months since last hearing Wild Belle‘s enchanting first single “Keep You.” This past week, the brother-sister duo from Illinois released their debut LP Isles. Although not as poppy as the single, the group shows they are of much worth with this full length.
Even after seeing them live, it is difficult to give you the type of music they play. I’ll say folk\reggae psychedelic rock-laced pop music. That should suffice. If it wasn’t for their SXSW showcase last week I might have forgotten about this release.
For Fans Of: Alabama Shakes, Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeroes.
Either way, have a listen to a few of their tracks below.
Stream the debut LP from Lord Huron // Lonesome Dreams [Listen]
Thank the lord for NPR’s “First Listen” series which has given us the chance to listen to a slew of highly anticipated albums before their release date. I”m especially grateful for this latest offering, the debut Lord Huron LP that I have been yearning for ever since first speaking with Schneider about its initial conception.
Stream and Enjoy Lonesome Dreams – one of the best albums of the year below.
Another track from New Yeasayer LP // Blue Paper [MP3]
“Blue Paper” is probably the most impressive new song I’ve heard from Yeasayer‘s upcoming album Fragrant World. When compared to the first two tracks (“Henrietta” and “Longevity”) this track reminds me of the lullaby-driven cacophony that made me first fall in love with the band a few years ago.
Although not released yet, I heard “Devil & the Deed” Live last year, which I’m excited to hear a final mix of as well.
Fragrant World will be released at the end of August.
