Fall In Love with Slow Skies // Walk Me Home
Check out the awesome debut EP Silhouettes from Dublin’s Slow Skies, including one of my favorite tracks right now “Walk Me Home.”
Slow Skies is the musical project of Karen Sheridan, a musician from Dublin. After meeting producer Conal Herron in London they decided to record Slow Skies debut EP Silhouettes. Together in the winter of 2011/12 in different sitting rooms in Dublin, Donegal and Wexford. Blending folk pop melodies with strings, a harmonium, kitchen cabinet percussion and soft guitars, Slow Skies weighs somewhere between folk and pop music. With no set band Karen plans to play her gigs with different friends in different cities over the summer and winter months of 2012.
The Silhouettes EP will be released under their own label called Sleeping Giants Records and they will launch it with a show at the Backloft studios in Dublin on the 16th of June, with live visuals from April Keane. They also play Body and Soul Festival on the weekend of 22nd June, Oh My Garden gig in Brussels on the 29th June and 10 days in Dublin festival in July and more gigs to be confirmed over the next few weeks both here in Dublin, London and Brussels.
