Boy & Bear formed in 2009, and were originally formed as a solo project for Dave Hosking. Later, Jake Tarasenko joined and soon expanded with Killian Gavin and Tim Hart, all members being singer / songwriters. Previously, each member had originally fronted their own respective groups, and became friends after sharing the stage on many occasions. They later expanded to a quintet with Jon Hart.
