An Amazing Amazing band (that’s intentional).
Lord Huron is led by a Michigan native, now in Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Ben Schneider. As of now, he has released two EPs (Mighty EP and Into The Sun EP) both of which were in 2010. Although they’re a full band live, everything on his EPs were performed by Schneider alone.
LH epitomizes the soft sound of good indie folk music, but he doesn’t dilute it with forced lyrics. Rather, he sings hooks that make you put the entire list on repeat just to hear the melodies over and again. What makes the sound even more unique is his addition of tropical and watery undertones that drive each track; making it light enough for the summer, but ominous enough for the darker winter months.
Great. Music.
I’ve posted a couple of MP3s below, and his video to “The Strangers,” but check out Lord Huron’s bandcamp page to buy these two EPs (both together = $7).
