If you’re a fan of either Big Boi or Modest Mouse, then you’ve probably already heard that ATLien is producing Modest Mouse’s next album, the first since 2007′s We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. The band played a set at Sasquatch Music Festival this past weekend and premiered two new jams, which are streamable below:
It’s been four years since Modest Mouse have actually come out with some new music – their last official release, 2009′s No One’s First And Your Next was a B-sides album – but fortunately the two new tracks — tentatively called “Poison” and “Lampshades of Fire” — are straight up Mouse, the latter a particularly catchy and upbeat anthem. Isaac Brock’s signature and peculiar method of singing is intact and he sounds great as always. Check it.
